How can I help you?

KGHypnoBirthing is a complete antenatal education that informs and empowers mothers and their birth partners for pregnancy and childbirth.

The course is delivered by registered KGH Teachers, who undertake training which is accredited by the Royal college of Midwives - a huge accolade attesting to the knowledge KGH teachers must have!

But what exactly is HypnoBirthing, and how does it work?

To quote the amazing Katharine Graves - Hypnosis is simply words: words used in a more positive and a more focussed way to help us let go of the negatives we have acquired in life.

By using self hypnosis and relaxation techniques, we teach you how to embed positive responses to labour in your subconscious, allowing you to let go of the fear response to labour that gets in the way of a natural and calm birth, and that which is the cause of many unrequired interventions.  But not only do you learn this, we also teach you about:

  • The muscles of the uterus,

  • How to prepare your body for birth,

  • Nutrition in pregnancy,

  • Your responsibility and choices for the birth of your baby,

  • How to achieve the birth you want,

  • How to recognise the onset of labour,

  • The three stages of labour, and useful things to do in each,

  • Interventions, what the mean and the statistics behind them,

  • Natural induction, positioning for birth and other handy tips.

The above is in no way an exhaustive list, as we explore pregnancy and labour in depth and cover off any personal queries you may have, leaving you with a vast toolbox that you can draw on to help to stack the odds in your favour for a calm, relaxed, swift and natural birth.

The birth of you baby is and should be a positive and beautiful experience.

Our courses are designed with mum and baby at the centre, to empower women and restore their confidence in their bodies and their babies, and to dispell the misinformation pregnant women face every day by replacing it with good evidence based data to allow them to make informed choices for their birth.
